Bus passes allow you to travel around Australia in your own time and for a very reasonable price


Aussie Explorer Pass
Travel in a specific region or choose a set itinerary from a range of more than 20 routes and stop off as many times as you wish over several months. Valid for between 6-12 months. A condition of this pass is that you must travel in one direction, except for specific sectors. It sometimes includes day tours.

Kilometre Pass
Offers the maximum flexibility... Choose passes ranging between 2,000 to 20,000 kms. The pass lets you travel where you wish and included backtracking.

Bus Pass and Youth Hostel Package
The best way to visit Australia when you are young or ‘young at heart’. The “Freedom” package offers a combination of bus travel and selected youth hostel accommodation. This deal is valid Australia-wide and includes journeys of a minimum of 10 nights and a maximum of 50 nights.

The Indian Pacific  More Info

Departs Monday and Thursday from Sydney to Perth, and departs Friday and Monday from Perth to Sydney.

A fabulous journey over 4 352 kms from the Pacific Ocean to the Indian Ocean, in 65 hours. Travel from Sydney through the Blue Mountains and Broken Hill. Enjoy a brief stop in Adelaide and travel on to discover the Nullabor Plain, a 478 km straight track, where the colours of the desert change depending on the time of the day. Gold Kangaroo Class cabins feature a lounge for relaxing during the daytime which converts to a bed at night and has private shower and toilet facilities. Red Kangaroo Class has 2 berth cabins and shared facilities. Meals are included in Gold Kangaroo Class.

Great Southern Rail Pass
Unlimited travel on the Great Southern Rail network.

The pass allows 6 months unlimited travel on the Great Southern Railway network, and stopovers are permitted. Travel is in Red Kangaroo Daynighter seat on the trains. More InfoIn total, the Pass gives travellers access to over 6,739 kilometres of railway in Australia, providing Pass holders the opportunity to explore outback Australia and Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Alice Springs, Broken Hill, Perth and surrounding regions (Darwin from January 2004) and travel from the Pacific Ocean to the Indian Ocean. Special rates are available for students and members of selected backpackers organizations.

 
Great South Pacific Express More Info

Departs Sunday or Tuesday from Brisbane to Sydney and departs Tuesday or Thursday from Sydney to Brisbane.

Australia's new version of the Orient Express - the Great South Pacific Express. Elegance, fine dining and the highest standard of service provide the ultimate indulgence for a truly unique train journey. 20 superb carriages with 48 luxury cabins each with private en suite. There are also several restaurants, bars and lounges on board. A 3 day/2 night train journey along the east coast from Brisbane to Cairns (or vice versa) the Great South Pacific Express also includes an excursion to the Great Barrier Reef or a trip to a rainforest.
